With the struggles of our local school budget that all too often has to say “We can’t afford that,” it has been very difficult to run the marching band. Purchasing music, hiring staff, repairing instruments, and traveling throughout the state to our various events each year has been costing our students a lot of money. But this year, when things look darkest for our band budget, the community has come through.
So with a thank you from the bottom of my heart! Thank you to each and every person who generously supports the band. From those who wrote direct checks, to those who participate in our fundraisers, to the community members who cheer us on at our home football game performances; thank you. It means a lot to me and even more to the kids whose lives you’ve touched by your support. Thank you Fluvanna County!
