Fluvanna junior tennis players finish third

The Fluvanna team is very young and not as experienced in tournament and league play as the Charlottesville teams but they worked hard at their practices and played their hearts out at every match. The team played six matches with each player competing in a singles or a doubles match. Their overall record was two wins and four losses.

Alina Ackenbom, who coaches the team said that she is very proud of all players who improved their game but most importantly they all showed amazing sportsmanship and respect for their opponent teams.

Tyler Ackenbom, 7, became a champion of Western Classic Superstarters tennis tournament that took place last weekend at Western Albemarle High School. With the wins over Braeden Weiss and Cooper Weiss, Tyler won his first tennis tournament.

Keegan Campanelli, Caleb Buglia and Michael Tamony who train at Friendship also participated in the tournament.
