Last week I received notification that my company, RE/MAX Assured Properties, was teaming with another RE/MAX office in New Jersey to distribute much needed items to the victims of Hurricane Sandy in New Jersey. I sent out a mass e-mail to people on my client list and collected a few items to donate. On that list were my daughter’s English teacher, Sherron Haley, and counselor Stacy Holland. They passed my e-mail on to Colleen Tarant-Williams, the Interact Club sponsor at Fluvanna County High School. Word spread, and last week I picked up two large loads of items to take to my office in Charlottesville. I want to say thank you to Ms. Haley, Ms. Holland, and Ms. Tarant-Williams for taking the initiative to spread the word around Fluvanna High School. And thank you, parents, students, and faculty for the useful donations. In a time of crisis, even when we are spread very thin financially, the generosity of these people is amazing.
