He was elected commonwealth’s attorney for Louisa County in 2008 and remained as a prosecutor after being elected to the state senate in 2011. Rusty McGuire is Garrett’s successor as the Louisa commonwealth’s attorney.
Garrett is a University of Richmond law school graduate. His law office is located in the town of Goochland. His practice will focus on traffic, criminal and civil work.
