William Quarles taught science in Richmond and Louisa public schools, then worked for 30 years at the North Anna Nuclear Power Station as a supervisor and instructor of nuclear chemistry. He served on Goochland’s Board of Supervisors for eight years, three years as chairman. His platform supports public education, women’s rights, hunting on private property on Sundays, infrastructure investment to support entrepreneurs, and balanced approaches to environment and resources.
Quarles has spent a lot of time this year visiting groups in Fluvanna, listening and understanding our needs and issues. On the other hand, Ware sent out postcards announcing his visit to one private house to meet supporters.
If you want another right-wing legislator who spends his time restricting women’s rights, opposing progress on healthcare, and ignoring the practical needs of Fluvanna, Ware’s your man. If you want a moderate who pays attention to us and will work effectively to meet Fluvanna’s needs, and who has a record of achieving fair, reasonable, and well-managed progress, vote for William Quarles.
