Jefferson District rival Powhatan High School won the first two games, in a best of five format, by scores of 25-22 and 25-15. Coming back from a two game deficit in volleyball is a rare accomplishment. However, the Flucos achieved this feat with wins of 25-21, 25-21 and 15-13.
Junior Maddy Kline led the Flucos with 17 kill shots and 22 digs. Junior Leslie Walters pitched in with 10 kills and five blocks at the net and senior Miah Perch had nine kill shots. – Duncan Nixon
