An apology

Khalia Thomas, a ninth grade student in Fluvanna county, has been on the honor roll every quarter since kindergarten. So, when her name didn’t appear in the Fluvanna Review last quarter, we thought that it was a possible printing error. However, when it didn’t appear for the second quarter, we decided to call the guidance counselor. We were informed that she did make the A/B honor roll for both quarters, but because she owed a balance on her lunch account, her name would not appear in the paper. The school did notify us of the debt, but with the holidays, swim team fees, basketball fees, etc., it slipped our minds. Khalia, please accept our sincere apology. This was our mistake and we hate that you were punished for it. You worked hard last semester and we are very proud of you!
