Golf course question

I’m not saying that these are necessarily the best options, but I do think it is appropriate and necessary to start asking these questions. Although we have to pay for our amenities, the amenities that we do have can be altered if they start to provide an economic burden rather than economic gains, or if the change in demographics simply demands a new direction.
I do realize that some residents have purchased a home here with the existence of the golf course influencing their decision. Those residents have a legitimate interest in maintaining or improving the course and they certainly deserve to have their voice heard too.
Lake Monticello has a new Board that is taking the right step by requesting input from the residents or our community. There are many courses that we can take going forward. The course we choose will be influenced by those that communicate their ideas and priorities.
