Charlottesville led by eight at half-time, but the Flucos came roaring back in the third quarter behind ten points by Vinnie Agee to close the deficit to two at 48-46. Unfortunately, Charlottesville applied a very impressive press to start the fourth period and build the lead back to eight in no time, and the game was effectively over. The Black Knights scored a bunch of free throws in the final two minutes to win 70-51.
Agee led the Flucos with 24. Hunter DeForge had eight and Jameel Wilson seven for the Flucos. On Thursday Feb. 19 the Flucos will host a semi-final Conference 23 game. They are the second seed and have a first round bye. Charlottesville also gets a bye as the number one seed, so these teams may meet for the fourth time this season, if both win.—Duncan Nixon
