Her sisters-in-law on the Rhinehart family side that she met when she was 15-years-old remained very close to her all of her life are Betty Driver and Margaret Rhinehart and the late Barbara McAvoy and brothers-in-law Willard Driver and Leon Rhinehart.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter, Loretta Lynn Gardner, and a brother Jerry Coakley
Minister Chris Long conducted the funeral service on Tuesday, August 18, at 1:00 p.m. at the McMullen Funeral Home Chapel in Harrisonburg. Burial followed at Linville Cemetery.
The family received friends prior to the funeral from 12 p.m. until 1 p.m.
