Protecting Our Forest

I’d like to express my thanks to Fluvanna County’s Parks and Recreation, public works and master gardeners for planting 1,300 trees at Pleasant Grove. Their effort restores a natural habitat and inspires generations to come.
Hopefully we can apply some of these scientific methods to the forest at Lake Monticello to ensure that this natural resource remains in a regenerative state for the future.
The best way to explain my belief is that in the same way that every citizen’s vote counts in an election, every single tree on our planet counts toward our survival. The result of enacting this philosophy would be an effective democracy and a planet that will endure despite a climate that is in crisis.
