Support our rescue squad

On Saturday, Aug. 29, my wife caught her toe on a shopping cart wheel at Food Lion and fell. Fortunately there was a rescue squad lieutenant who saw this and called for the duty team of Mark Novak and Tim Dickinson We helped my wife up and they checked her out. Her elbow was hurting and Mark suggested they take her to the emergency room. She didn’t think it was that bad but Mark was persistent and said if they take her she will be seen faster. She finally agreed and an x-ray confirmed that she had a broken elbow. The lesson here is to listen to our fine rescue squad volunteers. Lucille and I just want to thank Mark, Tim and the lieutenant (whose name I haven’t gotten) for being so proactive and so caring. We have a great team of volunteers to support us.
