Brown for clerk

I have known Rovelle Brown for less than a year, but have come to know him as hard-working, committed to tasks, forthright, and very personable. As with most people with whom I have spoken, I knew little about the role of the circuit court clerk until this current political season where five citizens are running for this position in Fluvanna.
I have learned that knowledge of the court system is essential, administrative leadership experience is especially important, and a background in criminal justice is a big plus. Mr. Brown possesses all of these qualities. His educational and career experience make him highly qualified for the position as our circuit court clerk. I am especially impressed with his background as senior magistrate in Virginia’s judicial system, a position he held for 17 years.
I am likewise influenced by Mr. Brown’s work with youth offenders, people with welfare needs, and community organizations. I believe he will bring a fresh approach and will provide the citizens of Fluvanna with a clerk’s office that has better transparency and accessibility.
