I will continue to support Fluvanna County in other avenues of community service. I have been employed with Community Action Agencies for 47 years and am currently serving as the director of Rural Outreach for Fluvanna, Louisa, and Nelson counties with the Monticello Area Community Action Agency.
It is with great confidence that I endorse Barbara Cary as the new school board member to represent the Fork Union District. Mrs. Cary is a native Fluvanna County citizen who graduated from Fluvanna schools and earned an Associate of Arts Degree in information technology. She also raised two sons in Fluvanna schools.
She has been active in Habitat for Humanity and the Fork Union Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She is also the co-founder of Providing Resources to Inspire Develop and Empower (PRIDE,) a local non-profit dedicated to supporting the community through specialized programs.
Mrs. Cary is an advocate of education for all. I feel Barbara Cary would be an excellent representative to ensure all students receive equal opportunities for a good education. Thank you citizens of Fluvanna County for giving me this opportunity.
