Some on the Fluvanna County Board of Supervisors appear bent on spending the taxpayers’ money to address a need that doesn’t exist, namely supplying water to the Zion Crossroads area of Fluvanna County. This, in spite of the fact the majority of the citizens of Fluvanna do not want more development. It is the desire of certain members on the Fluvanna Board of Supervisors to bring water from the women’s prison as well as the James River at a cost of millions and millions of dollars for development that is not occurring. Their position is as follows: If there is no need now, at least we will have the water in place should the need ever arise. Really?
