He returned home to Fluvanna County in 2017 where he is an art teacher at the high school. Coach Morris served on the FCHS football staff as the JV defensive coordinator. This team compiled a 6-4 record allowing 12.8 points per game with two shutouts.

Morris entered the coaching profession as a teacher and coach at Louisa County High School. He then moved to Powell Valley High School under VHSL Hall of Fame Coach Phil Robbins. His responsibilities included running backs, linebackers, defensive backs, and the JV team before becoming the varsity defensive coordinator for Robbins.
