Firefighters Respond to Rolling Road Fire

Fork Union Volunteer Fire Company responded to a fire on Rolling Road near Rt. 6 in Fluvanna County on Friday morning (May 8), according to CBS19 News.

The company said the call came in around midnight and several fire departments responded to the scene including ones from Fluvanna, Albemarle, Louisa and Buckingham counties.

Christopher Aley, the Fork Union Volunteer Fire Company chief, said the building is used by logging company as a repair shop and said he saw heavy smoke coming from the building, according to the news station.

“It was coming out all the exterior doors and the eaves of the structure,” said Aley.  

No one was injured. The cause of the fire is unknown and is under investigation.
