Man robs BP gas station in Palmyra

A man robbed the BP gas station on James Madison Highway in Palmyra on Friday (Dec. 9) at around 10:12 p.m. 

Fluvanna County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the armed robbery in progress, but the suspect fled the scene prior to their arrival.

No one was injured in the robbery attempt and no cash was taken, said Capt. Sean Peterson. Deputies recovered a purple Taurus G2 9mm that was dropped at the scene by the robber.

He is described as a black male, medium build, 5’ 8” to 5’11” tall, mid-to late 40s, wearing a black “gator style mask,” black beanie cap, hot pink gloves, dark colored pants, black shoes, and a black jacket with white sleeves. 

The suspect fled on foot headed north on James Madison Highway. The case remains under active investigation.
