Signing day

Christian Hackenberg, QB, 6’4″, 212 lbs, of Palmyra – This local talent from Fluvanna County is the #1 quarterback prospect in the nation and the #1 high school football recruit in the Commonwealth of Virginia, according to the ESPN 300 rankings. Christian is expected to commit to Penn State University.

 

Malcom Cook, Safety, 6’1″, 200 lbs, of Richmond – This superb athlete is expected to remain committed to the University of Virginia, although he had opened up his recruitment a bit since the departure of some key Virginia coaches in December. Cook is likely to sign as a Wahoo on Wednesday morning.

Austin Stone, Wide Receiver, 5’11”, 179 lbs, of Palmyra – Stone came to Fork Union as a middle schooler intent on improving his opportunities to play college football on scholarship. This Fluvanna resident will make good on his goal on Wednesday morning as he is expected to sign a commitment to play Division I football at Eastern Michigan.

All three of these players were seniors on Fork Union’s prep football team playing for Coach Micky Sullivan. Coach John Shuman of FUMA’s postgraduate team will be announcing the postgraduate signees at this event as well. Source:  FUMA’s Dan Thompson
