Jamie Beadle, of the Lake Monticello Volunteer Fire & Rescue, is requesting the help of Fluvanna businesses and residents to make Fluvanna one of the winners. The money would be used to help recruit, train and retain rescue and fire volunteers countywide.
Anyone with a Facebook account can vote up to 10 times per from April 4 through the 22 at the State Farm Neighborhood Assist Facebook page.
Beadle estimated that it will take more than 20,000 votes to be a winner.
