We need to attract new businesses and new residents. This means we must have affordable public water, sensible zoning, access to transportation for senior citizens, and quality public services commensurate with our current and planned population growth. As a community, we need to stop fighting the last war. The Fluvanna County High School is here. It is one of the finest public secondary schools in the state as evidenced by its exceptionally high graduation rate and academic achievements. FHS is our most important selling point to attract new residents and businesses. We need more top-notch schools and teachers like this. Most importantly, the Rivanna District needs young visionary leaders like Tony O’Brien.
