First time on the Lake

The dock crew worked hard getting the boats tied up and putting life jackets on the kids. Thanks to Elizabeth Beck, Joan Nelson, Lyman Drake and Tim Maywalt for all their efforts on the dock. Standing by in case of trouble was Jay Stofberg and Al Nelson on the Water Safety Patrol Boat. Fortunately they were not needed since it all ran smoothly. We had no waiting line this year because of all the volunteered boats. People were able to walk down to the main beach and get right on a boat. We met a lot of new people and really enjoyed hearing their stories about how they found Lake Monticello. A few even volunteered to join the Water Safety Patrol next year. We have a wonderful spirit here at the Lake.
