Boy Scouts help out

Thank you to the Fluvanna Review for sharing that enlightening story of 10-year-old Cub Scout Dilan Miller, whose quick thinking came to the rescue of his seven-year-old buddy at the Lake Monticello pool.
Troop #138 of Saints Peter & Paul Church has so many exceptional young boys who have contributed so much to our community.
Recently I requested some help with yard work from a Sts. Peter & Paul parishioner, George Kulhlow and he recommended the Boy Scouts. Within a few days four Scouts and PARENTS arrived on a very hot Saturday afternoon, and within a few hours the project was completed. How grateful I was for their kindness.
These boys are so special! Scouting is a wonderful way for young people to learn and develop character as they earn badges in community service, winter
survival, water safety, etc. Hats off to the parents who continue to support these endeavors.
Please continue to recognize and support the Boy Scouts of America.
