Meter switch woes

Just read Christina (Guseman’s) article regarding the customer complaints with Aqua about increased water bills. I phoned Aqua about the same issue when my own bill arrived after the meter switch. My bill doubled.
The first half of the month, as usual, reflected my normal usage of 64 gallons per day. During the transition time, my usage went to 143 gallons per day, says Aqua. I called and they came out to check for a leak which was their only explanation since I had no change in behavior within my house and no visitors taking extra showers. Of course they found no leak and no explanation. This current month, of course, my usage has returned to what it always has been.
They are up to something and I hope others join in writing about their own experience. Thank you for writing this article.
