Welcoming park

The good news is that 2015 offers the chance through the sesquicentennial of the American Civil War and the Emancipation Proclamation (which did come late to Virginia) to honor again Fluvanna’s brave soldiers and also to include the rest of the story. To move toward this the park might not need a name, but a small commemorative marker recognizing these milestone events would be appropriate. What a powerful witness it would make to our shared heritage and to a more connected community. Please let us welcome everyone to the park!
