I write concerning the James River Water Project. This longstanding issue has proven to be both divisive and contentious, not just with the Board of Supervisors, but with the populous as a whole. Realizing that the project will more than significantly increase the debt of the county, I suggest the Fluvanna County Board of Supervisors allow those who will pay for the project decide whether or not they want it. They should put the issue forward to the voters of Fluvanna County in the form of a public referendum.
