Why litter?

Also, recently another friend spoke with me about plans he and his wife are making to move away from this area. He said that he has lived all over this country, and he has never been anywhere that had so much trash and litter strewn on the roadside. A couple years ago my daughter participated in a medical mission in Uganda in Africa. One day they had the opportunity to take a bus ride into the countryside to Lake Victoria, the head waters of the Nile. She said they passed numerous homes in primitive areas and that the yards were very well manicured, and she observed no litter at all along the road.
I simply ask that people take a little pride in their community and have enough respect for the rest of us and take appropriate action in hanging on to your trash until you reach a place that has a proper container for the disposal of your garbage. I think you’ll feel good for having done so.
