Water vote a true win

I also want to recognize the many, many citizens that for years, and in some cases decades, dedicated themselves to bringing water to Fluvanna. Countless Boards of Supervisors, committees, county staff, groups, grass roots efforts and voters have pursued this vision and pushed to see it come to fruition.
I believe it is incumbent upon all of us to recognize the good fortune of our county’s partnership with Louisa County, who in sharing their good fortune and vision for their county, are financing the bulk of the cost of this James River Pipeline and are expediting the delivery of water to Zion Crossroads.
There is a lot of work to do in the next coming years, but I am confident that we have a committed Board, excellent staff, and amazing people in our county who will work diligently towards a better tomorrow. It will not happen overnight, but beginning in late 2018 or early 2019 we will have water at Zion. We can now focus on drawing economic development to the area, without being constrained by a lack of water infrastructure.  A true win for Fluvanna and Louisa!
