Schools won’t get waiver for missed days A request by the Fluvanna County Public Schools for a waiver of three school days closed in part due to the aftermath from Hurricane Sandy has been denied.

Thoughtful people

I was diagnosed with acute myloid leukemia in early 2012 and received preparatory treatments for a stem cell transplant at The University of Virginia Medical Center from June to September.  In September, I was transferred to the Virginia Commonwealth University’s Massey Cancer Center in Richmond for the transplant.
