In her letter published Aug. 8 in the Fluvanna Review, Mary Boyd repeats Obama’s mantra that wealthy individuals and large companies should pay their “fair share” in taxes. What makes her think they don’t? What is their “fair share”?
I feel that President Obama has a strong commitment to education. He doubled funding for Pell Grants, thereby providing grants for 3.7 million more Americans. The Federal Pell Grant Program provides need-based grants to low-income undergraduate students.
