This open letter should indicate that the group of at least five people is willing to undertake this campaign regardless of how the R&R vote turns out – if the vote is “yes,” money raised will reduce the amount used from the ERA or it can be paid into the ERA to help rebuild it; if the vote is “no,” the capital campaign can be part of next steps.
I believe the LMOA Board would seriously consider this!! Either way the vote turns out, if the capital campaign dollars are significant, this would truly be a win-win opportunity benefiting the community, and it will show that Lake Monticello 99 has positive energy to serve our community!! On the other hand, if Lake Monticello 99 isn’t willing to step forward on this, that will be the answer regarding how practical an idea a capital campaign is. How about it, Lake Monticello 99?
