Dues increase is forever

Fluvanna County has increased taxes, and both AQUA Virginia and Central Virginia Electric Coop (CVEC) have increased rates. We cannot control the taxes or utility rate increases, but we do have a say in our dues increase. We can vote no.
As for only 26 cents a day, that is a well-known marketing strategy to convince people to spend a larger amount of money than they think they are spending. It is used every time a government entity wants to raise taxes, a utility wants to raise rates, a charity wants donations, or a store wants to sell merchandise on credit. It is used so often because it works so well. Don’t allow this worn-out gimmick to influence your thinking.
We and the Board of Directors can find a better way to finance the improvements and new buildings on the golf course; and maybe even not spend so much money all at once!
Please vote no so we can start over with a more reasonable proposal and a better funding solution. Your vote counts; not voting is a yes vote for the Board proposal.
