Pace wins

Absentee votes have not yet been counted but are generally few in number.

“I would like to thank the community for coming out and voting,” said Pace.  “It’s been an honor and privilege to sit on the Board these last four years.  We have certainly taken a step forward and are going in a good direction.  I’m very excited and I look forward to good things to come.  I want the community to know that I’m here and available to listen if they have concerns.  I look forward to the next four years.”

Pace, the incumbent, owns a local preschool and is a supporter of early childhood education.

The new School Board will need to deal with declining student enrollment and increased implementation of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) curricula in the schools.
