Why should we be concerned? Narrow, winding roads with blind curves, that’s why. A few years ago a cement truck missed a curve on Rt. 53 and rolled over onto a car driven by two Lake residents. The female passenger was killed. Truck drivers most likely use GPS and the shortest route possible with little regard for the conditions of the actual roads or community they drive through.
This is such a simple concept: The safety of the residents of a crowded planned community should be considered first and a policy enforced that will solve this problem. If we can play golf on the Moon and send rovers to Mars, why can’t we keep the tractor trailers on the shortest route possible inside a planned community?
