As summer winds down, the Fluvanna County Economic Development is looking forward to a busy fall season.
They recently announced they will distribute the 2026 Fluvanna County Guide, which they describe as the first comprehensive community publication produced for the county in years, to “celebrate our community and connect businesses with new customers.”
The Guide will include articles and information, as well as a calendar of events. It will include local businesses, restaurants, and attractions, and give readers need-to-know info on schools, local government, churches, nonprofit groups, and more.
More than 10,000 copies will be printed and distributed by mail, racks, and delivery to Palmyra, Lake Monticello, Fork Union, Bremo Bluff, Scottsville, Kents Store, and Spring Creek by October.
It will also be available online at FluvannaCountyGuide.com, a new source for Fluvanna events, information, and more.
All-American Publications has produced annual guides for over 30 years and is now led by Greg Dorazio, who also publishes the Scottsville News.
Open for Business
Smokey Hollow Tattoo opens on September 14 at 264 Turkeysag Trail. The studio specializes in black-and-gray work, large pieces, and sleeves.
Area Farm Visits
Happy Hollow Farm offers interactive tours that allow visitors to meet and feed some of its animals, including goats, donkeys, a pony, a miniature Highland cow…and even a zedonk, a hybrid cross between a zebra and a donkey..
The farm will hold its monthly Community Storytime at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 12. Designed for children ages 5 and younger but open to everyone, the program will include stories, songs and an appearance by one of the farm animals.
The event will take place beneath the large oak tree near the Event Barn at 912 Shores Road. Attendees should bring lawn chairs or blankets. The program will move inside the barn if it rains.

Art & Music
Pleasant Grove Park will host two events Saturday, Sept. 12. Art in the Park, featuring works by local artists and artisans along with children’s activities, will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The final Groovin’ at the Grove concert of the 2026 season will follow. The free event will run from 4 to 7 p.m., with food and a beer garden available. The Lost Beach Band will perform beach-themed oldies from 5 to 7 p.m.
Area wineries
Fluvanna County wineries offer a variety of activities beyond wine tastings, including live music, art exhibits, games, book clubs and food events.
