An acquaintance of mine recently sent out a group email with just such a threat, calling President Obama a tyrant who has issued 923 executive orders. This email has been circulating on the Internet. It’s funny about email. A person can make outlandish accusations, send to a hundred people, and a certain number will believe what they read without questioning the content.
Fact check: President Obama has issued 138 executive orders, George W. Bush issued 291, Clinton issued 364, and Franklin D. Roosevelt holds the record at 3,522.
As election day draws nearer, every voter should take what they read with a grain of salt, and please check your facts before forwarding these ridiculous claims. These emails are intended as scare tactics, and they are working!
