This is the first time in a long while that I am optimistic about the possible future of our county. I am excited about the candidacy of Tony O’Brien for supervisor and the refreshing vision and competence he could bring to our government. After years of our government wandering from study to study and holding back from action a man emerges with the capability to research, analyze, set a course of wise action and then collaborate to get a plan accomplished. This was plain to all that attended the debate on Wednesday and obvious to those who care to examine Mr. O’Brien’s performance with his business enterprise. He is talking about a balanced, transparent, forward thinking approach to financial health. His concerns are preserving our core services, and broadening our tax resources through infrastructure and business development – what could be more obvious. I know many people left the meeting relieved that we have a great alternative to more of the same.
