This is only about 12,000 to 15,000 feet. Be out there Saturday at 4:30 a.m. to start directing vendors in the gate. At 8:30 a.m. people are still trying to come in to get set up. Throughout the day the volunteers, which were the high school girls cross country track team and volunteers from church, directed and parked all the cars coming in.
It takes until 5 p.m. before all the vehicles are out safely, then work until dark pulling up lane marker stakes. Come back out Sunday after church to take down all the ribbons and signs, while picking up all the water bottles and small items lost by the tired people heading home. But all the thank you and smiles on the faces of the little and big kids faces make it worthwhile. Always looking forward to next year.
