Snow carriers

As the last of the snow melts away in the spring sunshine, it is hard to believe that several inches of snow kept our roads covered for many days this winter. I am grateful for all the dedicated workers in our community who report for duty, regardless of the elements – ambulance and fire rescue workers, police officers, snow plow drivers, nurses and doctors, to name a few. But the workers in our community I wish to thank in particular, for their dedication and service despite the weather, are the postal service mail carriers. Specifically, our mail carrier Cindy Corbin goes above and beyond. In late February, I captured this image of Cindy on Marwood Drive as she faithfully delivered the mail on her appointed route. Whether it is a late night in December when she’s ensuring delivery of packages before Christmas, or early mornings when she’s trying to beat the snowfall, Cindy’s commitment to this community is astounding. She delivers more than just the mail; she delivers a friendly smile and a cheerful wave, day after day. Cindy is a stellar example of one of the many people who make this community an amazing place to live.
Thank you, Cindy Corbin, and all your fellow mail carriers!
