Memorial Park

I the July 9 edition of the Fluvanna Review, it was reported that the Fluvanna Historical Society had recommended that the new sign for the area around the Confederate Memorial name it Confederate Park. In fact that is incorrect. The Historical Society had recommended that the sign indicate that the area was to be called Memorial Park since there was nothing in our archives to indicate that it had ever been officially given any name. We continue to stand by naming the park, “Memorial Park.”
