Honor the Columbia commitment

As I understand it, the pipeline north through our rural preservation zone is acceptable if contained in the existing electric right-of-way.
The last question is why our intake is going to cost $10 million when Tenaska’s two huge water intakes cost $1 million each seven years ago. I tried to compare the projects but, much to my surprise, the 2006 Code of VA Sec. 2.2-4342 para “B” states: “Cost estimates relating to a proposed procurement transaction prepared by or for a public body shall not be open to public inspection”. Wow! I hope the Board of Supervisors will ask our friend Bob Mayfield at Tenaska to review the Fluvanna price.
