Grow with change

I am 90 years old and have lived in Columbia for 84 years.
I have lived through many fires, floods, snow storms etc., and the people always stuck together and helped each other. Growing up here was a wonderful experience.
Having so many friends and play mates is something I will never forget.
Columbia has been host to so many lovely families and businesses – most of them deceased by now, but leaving nice memories and a great legacy of the town. Columbia has lots of history that will live on and can never be forgotten. I felt very sad when we had to give up our charter after so many years of being one of the few small towns that were chartered. We grow with changes, so we accept them and move on to the future.
