Business leaders provided information about their operations. A visit to Tenaska Power Plant, Fork Union Military Academy (FUMA), and Camp Friendship offered a chance to see and better understand their operations. I also learned about the origin and workings of Van der Linde Recycling, as well as some non-profit enterprises.
Best of all, I met folks who live throughout the county. Hearing their concerns and insights gave me a broader understanding of the issues facing Fluvanna. Now, with these insights, I am in a better position to get involved in efforts to keep Fluvanna County a desirable place to live, work and enjoy life.
I encourage county residents to apply soon, as class size is limited. Visit www.fluvannaleadership.com for more information and the application.
